Celebration

This last week has been our town's annual celebration, so we've had lots of picnics, barbecues, and parades. Nothing to complain about here! We love living right in the middle of the 'old' part of town where it feels a bit more "down home" than the new subdivisions, and during this last week we really felt a part of things because all the festivities were within a block or two of our house. Ellie loved the parades especially, and quickly learned that parades mean candy.

On Saturday we decided to try Ellie out at the movie theater, and we went to see "Walle", which we really enjoyed. Or rather, Nick and I enjoyed it and Ellie was more fascinated that the seats move. I guess we'll have to try again in another few months. We didn't have to take her out of the theater, thankfully, but the movie didn't have enough going on to keep her excited about it.
