Sick

Poor Ellie has been very sick.

Starting to feel better:
Now I feel a LOT better, but still not 100%. (Would you just look at those HUGE blue eyes!)
Thankfully, no one else has gotten whatever nasty bug was living in Ellie's "yucky" tummy. Here's some cute photos of Maren: These photos were inspired by Grandma Dee, who loves a freshly bathed baby (and who doesn't?).
I chose this one because if you look closely, you can see two little teethers in there!

Harry Potter Photo

Here is a photo we had taken from a recent weekend trip to Hogwarts.

Remember, you can't expect us to stick around in the picture all day, you know.

Tulip Festival

What can I say? It was beautiful and all who can go, should.
Oh, and I look incredibly short.
The end.

Sun!

We finally have some nice sunny days and we are certainly enjoying them.

I can't resist cute baby toes.

And a photo shoot of my sweet Maren - 8 months old.

Warm Spring Thoughts

It is snowing today...and I thought of this photo of me, which looks very happy and Spring-like. By the way, I'm about the same age as Maren in this photo. I'm pretty sure I still make that face sometimes. :)

Easter

We had a wonderful weekend, similar to many of yours, I am sure. On Saturday we attended my niece's baptism, and then had an egg hunt in their yard.
We hear all the time that Maren looks a lot like my sister, Jeanette, so we documented it with a photo. I think they especially look alike in this shot. ;) All that partying wears a person out.
Easter morn, Ellie and Maren were pleased with their loot.
All cute in their Easter dresses:
That afternoon we had egg hunt #2 at Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's. We are rolling in chocolate around here.
And a second round of dying eggs, too.

Thank you Grandmas and Grandpas for spoiling our kids (and their teeth) rotten.

We had combined FHE with my brothers and sisters this last Monday. Maren loved drinking water, and then homemade root beer (who doesn't?), from a cup. Alicia was our photographer.Maren trying to eat my face. And check out these cute photos - Nick and I do a good thing for the gene pool.

Conference Sunday

We had a most wonderful time today. My family all just ends up at my mom and dad's for the between-session lunch and the afternoon session of General Conference. Today was no different, and in fact, we had two of my sisters there from 'out of town'. It was a full house, crazy and noisy, but oh-so-nice to be with family. Here's the evidence:

I am binding a quilt that my mom made for Maren, lucky girl. It is beautiful. My sister did the quilting. Since I was a little girl, my mom would put something productive in my hands during conference (I particularly remember doing fabric paint on dishcloths), and that tradition has continued. And it's not just me - here are my neices cross-stitching. And the men have traditions of their own... My dad, Jonathan, and below, Nick - all sleeping.Ellie LOVED playing with her cousin Aspen, and especially enjoyed playing on the swingset and trampoline. Here's some cool shots from below the trampoline:

The girls had to check out the cows (who did not want to check out the girls...go figure).
The most fun, for me, was playing Ultimate Frisbee with my neices and nephews. The boys pretty much clobbered the girls, but who was keeping score? (Okay, the boys were...I think the final score was 30-something to about 10-something)
My cute parents, looking mighty proud of their posterity (as they watched Ultimate, no less):
And Maren, taking a nap on Uncle Jeremy.

What a fun day! Oh, and it was somewhat spiritually uplifting, too.
