Away

Since Everett has come home, we really haven't gone many places. We are trying our best to keep that little guy healthy and away from germ-carriers, which means lots of time at home. Well, that's all fine and well if you have a newborn to sit and snuggle, but my girls (ok, and myself) get a little restless. So, yesterday we headed to my parent's house to spend some time at someone else's house, which seemed to be just what we all needed.

Everett met his new cousin, William. They both seem a little under-impressed now, but we hope these two are the best of cousin buddies when they get a little bigger. William is 1 week old. Ellie got to ride in the big tractor with Grandpa while he plowed his garden. She was nervous getting in and out of that big thing (and I must admit, it is a little scary climbing up those tiny steps right next to the roaring engine), but otherwise was plenty content bumping around with her Grandpa.
We also did the farm tour - checking out the cows and chickens. Maren was quite nervous and held on tight. Ellie was occupied with being careful about avoiding the 'mud'. It was so nice to be out of the house, not to mention that my mom sent me home with a tray of her delicious cinnamon rolls. Thanks, Mom!
