Rainy Days

I know, my blog has been neglected. I don't even have a good excuse. Anyway... this Spring has been so weird. We've had a few grand days of warm sun, but mostly it's been cold and rainy. I still haven't put away all the winter clothes because we are still wearing them. We don't go many places these days, so there is a lot of this: Yesterday we made the most of the rain, and did some rain art:

If you want to try it with your own kids, it's really simple. Just draw a picture on card stock with washable markers and set it out in the rain for a few minutes, then let it dry.

And here are some updates:

* Our RAV was totaled (Nick has promised to write a post with photos, but we'll see...) after I was rear-ended about a month ago. Thankfully the dude's insurance was easy to work with, and we bought a new-t0-us 2006 Nissan Murano. This whole experience was basically a big pain in the patootie. We were not ready to say goodbye to our beloved RAV.

* Maren's fingers are all healed! She is using them like she always did, which is a really good thing. She wears some compression sleeves on her fingers to help with scar managment, and we are still visiting the burn clinic about every 6 weeks.

* Our house has been off the market for about a month now (and it has been WONDERFUL!). Our plan was to do some work in the yard and then put it back on the market, but we aren't so sure anymore. What was all that about? We have no idea, and honestly are just plain tired of thinking about it. I don't know what we are going to do.
